And check out the awesome cover by Kim Miranda too!

I will be one of the speakers for WriteOnCon, an online conference for YA and MG writers and readers. My topic is “Writing SFF from a Southeast Asian Perspective” and falls on the 3rd day of the conference. Due to time zones, it will be a Monday morning for me. 😉

A review of Wolf At The Door by the Star

Updates re: my life.

For the past two months, I experienced gastro-intestinal issues and worried myself to death, because 1) I saw a relative die from cancer and 2) my maternal side has cancer all around (breast, ovarian, colo-rectal, the works). So I went for a comprehensive check-up. The doctor drew a vial of blood and took relevant (pee and stool) samples.

The next day, I got back the results.

So: I am generally ok.

Rheumatoid arthritis (auto-immune issues), but… generally ok. Slight liver damage – because I have been taking blood pressure meds for a long time.

But yeah, I am generally ok.

Likewise, I have taken a backseat when it comes to social media (Twitter, especially). Too tired to engage with racists and people who do not want to have their white privilege questioned. I cut ties. And now I just want to move, write more (neener neener neener, racists), and work on healing (RA and other auto-immune issues).

I can’t wait for Chinese New Year. Now that’s my New Year I am waiting for. Celebration of Spring and life!
